Scheduler, Oakland, CA

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Scheduler (title and salary commensurate with experience and abilities) to work on a general engineering services contract in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, having strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, detail‐oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills.
The candidate will be reporting directly to Cordoba Corporation and BART GES consultant team, and performing daily tasks on behalf of the BART Maintenance & Engineering Management Team


Daily Duties include, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop, review and understand Contract requirements for Baseline Schedule and establishes criteria for schedule development (schedule detail, work breakdown structure (WBS) and others)
  • Develops and updates summary level as well as detailed schedules
    Develops lists of design, procurement, construction and post-construction activities based on: review of design documents, examination of site conditions, and discussions with stakeholders, design consultants, and contractors
  • Working with the project team identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items
  • Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams
  • Assigns resources (cost, labor or material) to activities and develops cash flow reports and resource histograms
  • Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences
  • Assesses or validate actual progress based on inter‐disciplinary team input
  • Identifies schedule changes and trends is a plus
  • Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur is a plus
  • Works in a workshop based environment and develops What‐if Schedules with a team


Skills in:

  • Working in a team environment and having effective communication skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on schedules in live meetings with schedule projected for team engagement


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • 1‐2 years of experience in CPM scheduling
  • Highly proficient in Primavera P6
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and all other Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skill
