Senior CADD Technician, Oakland, CA​

Senior CADD Technician will be taking on CADD production related tasks of the BART GES Team. The position deals with a diverse group of important external clients and internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

 Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate with engineering disciplines leads and CADD team for plan preparation including, but not limited to, the following,
  •      Site Plans
  •      Traffic Handling Plans
  •      Electrical Plans and Details
  •      Structural Plans and Details
  •      Track Interlocking Plans and Details
  • Prepare engineering plans and details in compliance with client CADD standards and quality control procedures
  • Working in a collaborative environment with the CADD team to complete tasks and meet client deadlines\



  • Associates or BA/BS Degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years CADD production experience on highway and/or rail projects
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 or higher
  • Experience in electrical and structural CADD production
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Basic Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to critical think, work independently and see tasks through to completion with minimal input
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail in relation to accuracy and quality control checks of drawing plans
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure while meeting critical time frames on multiple tasks/project
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Standard
  • Knowledge of BART CADD Standards a bonus
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3d a bonus
