Senior Scheduler, Oakland, CA

Position Summary: 

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Sr. Scheduler (title and salary commensurate with experience and abilities) to work on a general engineering services contract in Oakland, CA. Reporting Directly to Cordoba Corporation and BART GES consultant team, the Senior Scheduler performs tasks on behalf of the BART Maintenance & Engineering Management Team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with outstanding analytical and problem‐solving skills, detail‐oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills


Essential Functions:

  • Develops, reviews and analyzes contract requirements for Baseline Schedule and establishes criteria for schedule development (schedule detail, work breakdown structure (WBS) and others)
  • Develops and updates summary level as well as detailed schedules
  • Develops lists of design, procurement, construction and post-construction activities based on review of design documents; examination of site conditions; and discussions with stakeholders, design consultants, and contractors
  • Works with the project team to identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items
  • Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams
  • Assigns resources (cost, labor or material) to activities and develops cash flow reports and resource histograms
  • Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences
  • Assesses or validate actual progress based on inter‐disciplinary team input
  • Identifies schedule changes and trends
  • Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur


Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise

  • Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment using effective communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead meetings with Contractors, Designers and Upper management
  • Ability to work on schedules in live meetings with schedule projected for team engagement
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skill


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • 5‐10 ten years of experience in CPM scheduling
  • Highly proficient in Primavera P6
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and all other Microsoft Office products
  • General working knowledge of all aspects of Program Controls, including estimating, project management, planning, and reporting, in addition to scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Claim Digger and/or Schedule Analyzer Pro is a bonus
