Transportation planning has been a core service since our founding in 1983. Our transportation planning practice developed during the planning of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail program throughout the mid- to late ‘80s when Cordoba was widely involved in the planning of station locations, route alignments, and economic impact analyses of planned stations and surrounding communities. Since then, as the L. A. County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has grown, Cordoba’s transportation planning services have grown with it on projects such as the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, the Downtown Regional Connector, and the Expo Line. In other words, transportation planning is in Cordoba's DNA.
Our transportation planning staff has been involved in all phases of transportation system planning, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to alternatives analyses and support for preliminary engineering and environmental documents. We continue to add professionals to our planning team who are considered experts in the field, and will add additional capabilities to our already considerable California-based transportation planning expertise.
Our transportation planning services include:
- Transportation Planning and Corridor Studies
- Transportation Plans and Circulation Elements
- Traffic Engineering and Operations Studies
- Traffic Impact/Circulation Studies
- Parking Studies
- Signal Warrants
- Microsimulation using Synchro
