Ms. Acosta is a registered professional engineer with over 26 years of experience in management, design and construction of transportation projects throughout the United States and abroad. Her management experience includes roles ranging from project manager to department and practice division manager. As department manager she has supervised high performance teams while maintaining balance in staff utilization, productivity and profitability. Her design & project experience includes preparation of planning studies, preliminary and final design and PS&E for construction of light rail, commuter rail, freight railroads, state highways, interstate highways, multilevel interchanges, local and toll roads projects. Her past and present projects require intensive coordination with transportation, transit and freight railroad agencies such as the Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority (SCVTA), the Capitol Corridor Joint Power Authority (CCJPA), the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), California Departments of Transportation (CALTRANS), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and many other local agencies & stake holders. She is very familiar with the design practices and approval process of most of these agencies.
