Farzam Fathi has professional experience in construction management and cost engineering in public works projects.  He has worked in different positions with general contractor, engineering, and construction management firms, which gives him a vast knowledge of the construction industry from different aspects. He has extensive experience in chief estimating role and cost engineering for public work and commercial projects.  He is a Master of Science in Construction Management from California State University, Long Beach. Also he has obtained the general engineering contractor licenses A & B. As a Program Estimator, he is responsible for the conceptual estimates, change management, and negotiation process for all projects carried out under the Measure E Bond Program. His duties also included developing ROM, square foot, assembly, and unit cost estimates; reviewing third party estimates; and providing value engineering and life cycle costing services.  Also he works closely with construction managers in pre-construction phase of the projects and help them with plans and specifications constructability review and project budgeting.  He is also responsible for maintaining and updating the district standards book according to new regulations and district’s staff requirements.
