Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount ID Card Program

Cordoba Corporation played an instrumental role in the early development and ongoing implementation of the RTC Discount ID Program, which seeks to prevent fraud through verification of eligibility for the program and saves the transit agencies unintended costs. Cordoba Corporation provides overall program management and analysis services in evaluating applications for the program. This includes development and maintenance of the database and network used by all participating agencies, providing training, updating policies and procedures, and working with physicians and other medical personnel. Program staff evaluates 2,000 – 3,000 applications each month and provides direct support to applicants. Notably, Cordoba Corporation has successfully earned the contract to provide these services through three required re-procurements, a testament to customer satisfaction.

The Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount Card facilitates access for individuals with qualifying disabilities to federally mandated reduced fares on fixed-route transit systems throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The Program supports 14 Metropolitan Transportation Commission member transit agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area including BART, AC Transit, Caltrain, San Francisco Muni, and SamTrans.
