The Chinese American Museum (CAM) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM to celebrate the opening of its newly renovated galleries and expanded cultural spaces.
The ceremony will feature remarks from museum leadership and city officials, followed by a traditional lion dance performance and guided tours of the new exhibits. The expanded galleries will showcase artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays that highlight the history, contributions, and cultural heritage of Chinese Americans in Los Angeles and across the United States.
Cordoba Corporation played a central role in the project. The company provided construction and project management services, including oversight of the museum’s interior renovation and mechanical system upgrades, ensuring the expansion was completed on time and in alignment with the museum’s cultural mission.
“This ribbon cutting represents not only the growth of the museum but also the recognition of Chinese American heritage as an integral part of the broader American story,” said Trevor Mason, Program Director, Cordoba Corporation.
Located at 425 N. Los Angeles Street, the Chinese American Museum is housed in the oldest surviving structure of Los Angeles’ original Chinatown. With its latest expansion, CAM continues to serve as a vital cultural and educational resource for the community.
