Oakland Unified School District Program Management and Construction Management Services

Oakland, CA

Cordoba Corporation was a member of the Bond Management Team providing district-wide PM/CM services for the $420 million dollar bond program that included the Downtown Educational Complex (DEC).

For the DEC project, Cordoba Corporation provided constructibility reviews and construction management oversight focusing on the civil, site utility, irrigation, and landscape drawings.

The vision was to develop an integrated campus to foster an enhanced teaching and learning environment for K-12 students on just 5.7 acres. Approved by the Oakland Unified School District Board of Education in December 2007, construction was completed in 2013. The construction budget of $75 million required a combination of funding resources including Measure B funds passed by Oakland voters in 2006.

The lease-back delivery method was employed for this project.
