Santa Ana-Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Project

Santa Ana, CA

Cordoba Corporation led the initial phases of the project, which were funded by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) through the Go Local Step 2 program, within budget, and consistent with the quality standards of the Cities and OCTA. The Santa Ana-Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Corridor Cordoba deliverables included a detailed planning and alternatives analysis, conceptual engineering and environmental compliance. The study process was consistent with Federal Transit Administration requirements for pursuing Small Starts funding. The environmental analysis satisfied the requirements of both the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

The Santa Ana-Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Project is the backbone of the City of Santa Ana’s overall vision for enhanced mobility, connectivity, access and economic development in central Orange County. Extending between the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center, and Harbor Boulevard at Westminster Avenue, the fixed guideway will extend the reach of Metrolink for residents and businesses in central Orange County and generally enhance regional connectivity. With an opportunity to connect at an intermodal transit center, the guideway will enhance mobility for area residents and provide improved regional access for employees and visitors to key destinations including Disneyland and surrounding resort areas.
