Cordoba’s Role
Cordoba Corporation provided comprehensive construction management services across multiple major initiatives within Oakland Unified School District, supporting the delivery of modern, high‑performing educational facilities throughout the District. Its role spanned capital program oversight, complex site coordination, historic facility adaptation, and districtwide infrastructure improvements.
Solar Initiatives Project — Cordoba provided construction management for the District’s solar energy installations, coordinating with PG&E, reviewing procurement and installation procedures, and ensuring proper testing of battery backup systems. Because the work required full electrical shutdowns, Cordoba planned and executed all activities during weekends to maintain safety and avoid disruption to instructional operations.
McClymonds High School — Cordoba managed several phases of a major renovation on one of the Bay Area’s most historic campuses. The role included navigating the complexities of historic building adaptation, coordinating construction on an active site, developing integrated schedules and phasing plans, and facilitating extensive community engagement. Cordoba also oversaw the transformation of the existing library into an innovative learning technology center, including the Mack Café.
