Overview

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) comprises nine colleges, ranging in size from 22 to 450+ acres, spanning 882 square miles. It includes Los Angeles City College (LACC), East Los Angeles College (ELAC), Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC), Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC), Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC), Los Angeles Southwest College (LASC), Los Angeles Trade- Technical College (LATTC), Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC), and West Los Angeles College (WLAC). LACCD’s Building Program, which began in 2001 and is funded through more than $9.5 billion in voter-approved bonds, seeks to modernize and renovate the nine colleges of the District. The goal is to deliver a positive educational environment for the community with state-of-the-art facilities.

Cordoba’s Role

Cordoba plays a long‑standing and central role in supporting the Los Angeles Community College District’s capital improvement efforts, helping the District deliver one of the largest community college bond programs in the nation. As a key member of the program management team, Cordoba provides program‑level oversight, construction management, planning support, and technical expertise across multiple campuses and project types. Our work spans early project definition, design coordination, cost and schedule management, construction oversight, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring that each project aligns with LACCD’s educational mission, sustainability goals, and long‑term facilities strategy.

Across the District’s nine colleges, Cordoba’s professionals help maintain consistency, accountability, and quality control for a multibillion‑dollar portfolio that includes new academic buildings, modernization of aging facilities, infrastructure upgrades, and energy‑efficiency initiatives. By integrating project controls, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and transparent reporting, Cordoba strengthens the District’s ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the standards expected by students, faculty, and the community. This partnership reflects Cordoba’s commitment to stewarding complex public programs with the rigor, responsiveness, and community‑focused approach that LACCD’s scale and impact demand.
