In a landmark moment for education in Inglewood, the Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) officially broke ground on a transformative $240 million redevelopment of Inglewood High School. The project, funded by Measure I bond proceeds, marks a bold investment in the future of the city\u2019s youth and is being led by Cordoba Corporation, the district\u2019s trusted program and construction management partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together city and district leaders, students, and community members to celebrate the start of a new era for the historic high school, which first opened its doors in 1905. The new campus will feature over 150,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities, including two career and technical education (CTE) buildings, STEM labs, arts and performance venues, athletic facilities, and flexible learning environments designed to support 21st-century learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cordoba Corporation, a California-based engineering and construction management firm, has played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. Since 2016, Cordoba has partnered with IUSD to manage a wide range of capital improvement projects funded by Measures GG and I, as well as other state and local programs. For the Inglewood High School project, Cordoba is providing comprehensive program and construction management services, ensuring the project remains on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the district\u2019s educational goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new campus will also include a pedestrian bridge over Manchester Avenue, connecting the school directly to the Inglewood Public Library\u2014symbolizing the district\u2019s commitment to integrating education with community resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
