CORDOBA CORPORATION EARNS PRESTIGIOUS SEWUP SAFETY AWARD FOR EL CAMINO COLLEGE PROJECT

El Camino College, CA — Cordoba Corporation has been awarded the coveted Statewide Educational Wrap Up Program (SEWUP) Award for Outstanding Safety Performance for their exemplary work on the Modular Village Site Improvements Project at El Camino College. This recognition highlights Cordoba’s continued excellence in maintaining exceptional safety standards in educational construction environments.

The SEWUP Award, presented by a distinguished joint powers authority program that provides dedicated construction insurance for educational institutions, celebrates projects that demonstrate superior workplace safety protocols and maintain injury-free environments. Cordoba’s achievement is particularly noteworthy given the complex nature of the project, which required careful coordination among multiple stakeholders while ensuring the safety of students, faculty, and construction personnel.

“This award reflects our unwavering commitment to safety excellence in educational construction projects,” said Emily Ryan, Education & Facilities Sector Manager at Cordoba Corporation. “Our team’s ability to maintain pristine safety records while delivering high-quality results demonstrates our expertise in managing complex projects in active educational settings.”

This latest recognition adds to Cordoba’s impressive safety record, following their previous SEWUP award for the successful completion of a $14.17 million Building D modernization project at Long Beach Community College District. That project was notably completed without any injuries or safety incidents while maintaining full building operations throughout the construction period.
