Cordoba proudly joined Long Beach City College (LBCCD) leaders, trustees, students, and community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Veterans Memorial Stadium and Athletics Complex—an important milestone in the College’s ongoing transformation of its campus facilities.
The ceremony marked the start of construction on a modernized stadium and athletics complex designed to enhance the student‑athlete experience, expand community use, and honor the legacy of veterans who have long been part of LBCCD’s history. The project includes upgraded seating, improved accessibility, new training and support spaces, and infrastructure improvements that will serve the campus and surrounding community for decades.
“Today’s groundbreaking reflects LBCCD’s commitment to building facilities that honor service, elevate student opportunity, and strengthen community pride,” said Jessica Landon, Cordoba’s Program Director for the Bond Management Team. “We are proud to support the College in delivering projects that will have lasting impact.”
As LBCCD’s Bond Program Manager, Cordoba Corporation oversees planning, design, construction, and delivery across the District’s capital program. The Veterans Memorial Stadium and Athletics Complex is one of several major projects advancing under the voter‑approved bond measures that continue to modernize LBCCD’s campuses.
