Distinguished business leader Terry Feit and corporate leadership award honoree, Lendistry will also be celebrated at the event
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce commemorates 137 years of business leadership in the region at its annual Inaugural Reception. The exclusive event, themed “Building a Legacy Together,” highlights the region’s resilience as it marches towards recovery from the Los Angeles wildfires and prepares to host global events in the coming years. This annual event will also bring together regional business, civic, and nonprofit leaders to unite communities across Southern California in the wake of the devastating wildfires.
Delta Air Lines proudly serves as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2025 Inaugural Reception. This year the organization ushers in its 100th anniversary of groundbreaking aviation and furthers their commitment to innovation, and to strengthening the Los Angeles community to foster economic growth in the region.
“As Delta celebrates our centennial year, we’re looking ahead to the next 100 years by creating partnerships and innovative experiences to help customers connect to their journey more meaningfully. This includes key partnerships like Joby, which we are working to launch in L.A. and New York in the next couple of years. Joby’s electric air taxi service promises to further differentiate the Delta travel experience while keeping sustainability and premium convenience at the core.”
The Inaugural Reception will mark the installation of the incoming Board Chair, George L. Pla, founder and CEO of Cordoba Corporation, a statewide engineering, construction, and program management firm specializing in transportation, education, water, and energy infrastructure.
“As we commemorate 137 years of leadership in our region, in light of the devastation Los Angeles is facing, we come together to unite the business community and reaffirm our commitment to Los Angeles,” said Maria S. Salinas, president & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. “This celebration also marks an exciting new chapter as we welcome George L. Pla as Board Chair and further our efforts in shaping a strong and vibrant regional economy.”
“We are now embracing a monumental rebuilding effort in the Los Angeles region as we gear up to host a series of world events. We will show everyone that our strength in unity will help us set the right foundation to rebuild and restore, revitalize our infrastructure, catalyze economic growth, boost our local businesses, and invest to benefit future generations,” said George L. Pla.
The event will also recognize extraordinary leadership with the presentation of the Corporate Leadership Award and Distinguished Business Leader honors.
